Recent Number Changes Results 9-20 thru 11-1
Now that all the State Finals and National Finals are over, it’s time to start our new year of roping.
For those of you who were not able to make it to Reno for Nationals, check out the Nationals home
page and the finals information. Hopefully you will be planning on making the trip in 2009.
Wyoming had two National ACTRA Scholarship recipients this year each receiving $840.
Congratulations to Bradi Nelson from Cheyenne and Brittany Bell from Gillette.
Goshen County Roping Club in Torrington has had a great turnout for their ropings and rumor is that
the cattle are great! Their schedule is listed on the calendar.
Joey Cash/Cash Productions has started his winter roping series at the Cam-Plex in Gillette with his
next roping to be held on Friday night, November 7th with entries opening at 6:00 PM and starting the
Cash Roping at 6:30 PM. Joey has a nice even pen of cattle. His schedule is also listed on the calendar.
There will be a chapter roping November 15 & 16 at the Cam-Plex. Stalls will be available for $12.00/horse
and electricity hook up at the barns for $12.00 for the weekend. More information will be in the November 5th
issue of the Wrangler Horse & Rodeo News.
As of October 31st your 2008 memberships expired. If you purchased your 2009 membership prior to
November 1st any points and roping days will be counted for the new year. However, if you have not
purchased your new membership and roped at any ropings after State, the points and roping days will
go away. Memberships are available at the ropings.
There are a few changes for Wyoming for 2009. We have lowered the number of qualifiers from (8) roping days
to (6) roping days to qualify for State. We have also done away with the Affiliate Memberships.
